IASME Cyber Assurance – Level One

About IASME Cyber Assurance

IASME Cyber Assurance (formerly IASME Governance) is a comprehensive, flexible information assurance standard designed for small and medium-sized organisations. It demonstrates a strong commitment to information security, data protection, and business resilience.

The scheme is recognised and supported by the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). It helps businesses implement security policies, risk management processes, and staff awareness measures aligned with international best practice.

Level One

Level One consists of a verified self-assessment reviewed by an independent Assessor. Once you register for certification, you gain access to IASME’s secure assessment platform, where you'll answer verified self-assessment questions covering areas such as:

  • Risk management and information security
  • Access control and asset management
  • Incident response and business continuity
  • GDPR and data protection compliance
  • Physical and personnel security

A senior member of your organisation's board must electronically sign the submission to confirm its accuracy. After that, a qualified external IASME Assessor will independently review and verify your answer.

Certification: Successful applicants receive the official IASME Cyber Assurance certificate and can display the badge on their website and communications.
